Resource IO Management
Karl Dittrich, CTO
Karl Dittrich, an electrical/computer engineer with more than 20 years of experience, has led and contributed to a multitude of instrumentation, control, high-speed communication and IT projects over his career. One of Karl’s most well-known achievements is designing, implementing and patenting a concert and event lighting system. Created for Bandit Lites, this avant-garde system (Motodata) was – and still is – being used by artists such as Aerosmith, Garth Brooks, and Tim McGraw, among many others. Some of his other projects include real-time industrial monitoring/predictive systems, resource management systems, network system design and enterprise software creation.
Karl is an accomplished guitarist who worked in the music touring and recording industry for many years. These experiences prepared him to look for solutions that can be used by the least technical members on a staff. They also gave him a hands-on understanding of the urgency that many industries experience.
Over the years, Karl has built a reputation for developing computer programs that provide powerful, intuitive, and elegant solutions to highly complex issues. Karl’s most recent work involved creating enterprise-level web applications and infrastructure to gather results and manage large amounts of data for the medical/clinical fields. During the implementation of this clinical software, he encountered an especially complex issue involving the processing and review of industrial audiograms (tracking employee’s hearing and detecting any issues). The final product is the most powerful and flexible audiogram processing software available in the world.
Resource IO represents an extension of this expertise, allowing Karl to leverage his experience with the high availability, HIPAA-compliant data management requirements of medical systems and bring these capabilities to the industrial monitoring field. Karl earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Honors from the University of Tennessee in 1986.
